Brooklyn Studio in December

In December I'll be working in my Brooklyn Studio.
It's the perfect rough space to break out my messy media.
Chalk pastels are in my suitcase, along with intense black charcoal. 

Nice change from oil paint.

Getting Ready to move to a bigger studio at BallardWorks in Seattle.  Very excited to have a big bright studio with separate walled storage.  For the first time I'll be able to work without lots of visual clutter.  Right now here's how I feel.....

I have always been watching interactions between people, and between art and the viewer. I like to use direct confrontation.  This painting went through many phases of adolescence before it became a finished work... the innocent and not so innocent.
